Board & Shield

My Senior Capstone

For my senior year at Drexel University, I had the pleasure of leading a team of game designers, artists, and programmers to produce and release a game from the ground up.

We worked together to make a game called Board & Shield, a re-imagined iteration of the Board & Shield seen in a previous addition to this portfolio. It’s a 3D 4-player game designed for local play, where participants take the roles of radical knights as they joust each other on skateboards. The game is visually inspired by games from the Nintendo 64/Playstation 1 era, which fit the humorous, ’90s-inspired aesthetic to a tee.

On this project, I acted as the team lead, main level designer/environment artist, and sound designer. You can see my work below on the main stage of the game, the Castle Courtyard! And if you’d like to see more, check out the game’s website right here! Or you can click here to watch the game’s trailer!
